DIY Winter Farm WEdding
Rachel was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the reception table flowers were facilitated by Garden and Roads and DIY created by the bride, bridesmaids and family. Rachel liked both the concept and the cost savings the DIY approach provides. Rachel's wedding colors were a wintry mix deep burgundy and soft gray-greens and blues, offset by a very delicate blush.
With the color palette identified, we worked to find the flowers.... Italian Ranunculus, paired with David Austin Juliet Roses, and Pink Ice Protea formed the focus with soft blue eryngium thistle (an homage to the couple’s engagement in Scotland), the tiniest blush button poms, wax flower and seeded eucalyptus to frame and fill the bouquets and arrangements and give them a messy, romantic look.
For her bridesmaids’ bouquets, Rachel took a minimalist approach and arranged a small grouping of 1-3 special blooms with greens. The bride attended a Garden and Roads flower arranging class to get tips and practice arranging, and also received a quick tutorial on boutonnieres - I think you will agree that she did a fantastic job and her wedding day was stunning!
